So sorry I have been SO bad at this... I promise to at least try to do better. I have lots of new pictures that I could add... if I just stop procrastinating!

Country life is the life for me
The top picture is just a pretty plant that I found on a walk around the NC Art Museum one afternoon. I'm not sure what it is... but it sure looks pretty and fun!
The bottom picture is just an old tobacco farm and barn that we found one afternoon on our long drives. Don't remember where this was, but I love the view.

Weekend Adventures
Matt and I spent a day last weekend just riding around looking for cool things to take pictures of. Matt is pretty patient with me with these things. We found lots of cool things and places, a tobacco farm and old barn, another old barn with cool barb wire in front. County settings are my favorite!

This was one of my favorite photos from the day. I love the way the fence frames it.

I'm trying out some different things here. Still trying to figure this technique out.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!!

Weed... or Art?
I love these. I did a series of shots like this. They definitely do not look like weeds to me!

I was trying out some different things here. I'm trying to get the whole clear/fuzzy thing down. I'm kinda understanding it, but I still need a lot more practice. But, for a beginner... I'm pretty happy with it!

Adventures at Pullen Park
Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great day today! I was off work at 3:00 today, so that made my day much better! Went out tonight with my grandparents, Cathy and cousin to Frankie's Fun Park and had a great time! I forgot to take my camera though :(

All of the photos today were taken at Pullen Park in Raleigh, NC. The first is a cherry blossom... I'm trying some different techniques.

I had to lay down on the tracks for this one. Don't worry, I made Matt lay down too. I really like the perspective on this one.

I would call this one... "Solitude". I think it looks lonely, but the colors are very welcoming. This would be a really cool shot if there was an older man sitting on the bench reading the paper with a dog at his side... and in black and white. I think I could set up some pretty cool staged shots.
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Picture This...
Ansel Adams is one of my favorite photographers because the above statement is exactly what he believed. The way we look at a photograph is the way we look at life. A tree can be just a tree... or a tree can be one of the most beautiful pieces of art that God provided to us... It's all in your perception.
I have decided to try out this whole blogging fad as I continue to learn about photography and all that it encompasses. I want to use this as a means to get a better understanding on my photographs and photography in general. My goal is to add at least one picture a day so that you can take a look and so that I have somewhere to post them that isn't Facebook. I would love to get your opinions, feedback, criticism, all of it.
So let me know what you think and thanks for reading!
